Most of Colorado is a drivers dream, again, just like West Virginia, and Western Virginia, Western North Carolina, Western South Carolina and North Eastern Georgia, only a bit higher.
US-50 from Grand Junction through the canyons and through Monarca Pass to Pueblo, what a road to ride and what a view.
Be careful here the LEOs love this road.
Pikes Peak. What can I say? If you live with in five hundred miles and you haven't ridden Pikes Peak yet, shame on you. This picture was taken at 29 F and snowing but as the road was clear And 79 F at the bottom, I had no problems going up or down. Ole yes there is a lot of gravel roadway for the last few miles before we got to the top, and I had no trouble taking Dick up and down safely.

You will find The Colorado National Monument in between Eruita and Grand Juntion off of SR-340 to Rimrock Dr.
This is Grand Junction in the distance framed by the rocks.
There he goes embarrassing me again, and he would have to sneak around behind me and take a picture of the biggest part of me. ![]()
Can you find the river? I was told it's over a thousand feet down there. I don't know, I'm just taking there word for it.
The sign said anywhere from 1700 feet to 2700 feet depending on where you are. Well I'm here beside of the sign and I still don't know?
All I do know is, it looks like I don't want to fall over the side, and you know there are places that there are no guard rails either.
SR-82 in between US-24 and Aspen going through Independence Pass. ![]()
The next three pictures can be put together to make a mosaic. Does anyone see any snow on the tops of any of these mountains? These pictures were taken in the middle of September.
Downtown Aspen.
Still early September and not all that far from Independence pass (about fifteen miles and 8000 feet lower) that we just came down from, and as you can see for yourself, no snow here anywhere.
Along I-70 East bond. This is one highway you really need to be very careful while traveling it. The beauty is unmatched and with all of the curves you might want, but you might get yourself in trouble real fast while sightseeing, remember this is an interstate highway and everybody will be doing 70+ mph or more so if you try stopping or gawking you just might get yourself in big trouble before you know it.
Snowmass.
If you visit this siet and it doesn't matter if you are a motorcyclist or not, and know of beautiful places in your state and would like for us to visit there and take videos and photographs to post on this site, so everyone will be able to see what is in your state for them to see, please E-mail me with all the information and possibly a picture or two of what you're talking about and I will respond to you and make arrangements for a visit to your state.
As far as we are concerned this website will always be a work in progress, I doubt it will ever be completely finished, even if all of the states are filled with photos and videos. There will always more to see.
